I'll be bustin' loose on a DJ set with the Peanut Gallery homie DJ mTm at The Layover in Oakland, CA this Thursday, November 10! It's crazy that we keep tearing the place down the way we do, and if you're in the bay area and haven't yet experienced it, come through! It's definitely a jam from beginning to end when MTM and I get it craccin'... Funk, soul, house, breaks, disco, rare grooves, hip hop, and even a little bit of country!


...Okay, no country, but we get it going from every angle, nonetheless.

It's going to be another big weekend to roc for my AnaManiacs, as I'm roccin the microphone and the turntables on a three-day tour of Los Angeles!

It starts off Thursday night in downtown L.A. at the White Crow Art+Sound Show. Say my name at the door, and find me inside for a free music download. Don't be shy -- I'm not a bacstage/VIP type of dude, so I'll be out and about in the venue. Just look for the LA hat. :-)

This Friday and Saturday, I'll be roccin a mean musical accompaniment for the Slam Fest 2011 event at Highways Performance Space in Santa Monica. If you've never heard me on the wheels of steel before, don't trip -- I'm actually a REAL DJ, not just some artist/actor/celebrity trainwreccing songs I heard on the radio. I'll serve up some real heat for you, and the spoken word on stage is just an added bonus that will certainly wow you.

Super fun happy times, yeah? Last weekend was a blast, between this, the boisterous booty-fest at the Sure Shot Dance Party with DJ MTM in Oakland, the rap set I rocced at Kool, and my day off at the Playboy Jazz Fest. Looking forward to another great weekend, and I hope to see some of you AnaManiacs out there getting UNFAMOUS with me!

OFF THE RECORD.

My turntable-bound alter-ego, dj.AnaRoxSicc makes an appearance tonight at The Layover, one of my favorite spots in the bay area. I'll be getting down alongside my Gallery DeeJays Crew mate, DJ MTM, for the second time. We tore this same venue to the floor around this time last year. It's an amazing dance party with a super cool mixed crowd of hip dudes and beautiful NorCal women; and mTm and I will do the same as we did it last time, serving breaks, funk, disco, soul, and all that freshness to keep the dancefloor bangin.

I'll travel to Los Angeles again on Saturday, to do a mixed set of DJ'ing and MC'ing at the LA Support For Japan fundraiser in downtown LA. This event features a veritable who's who of LA's dance, dub, electro, hip hop, and house DJ underground, as well as performances and all other kinds of rowdiness in two rooms deep inside Little Tokyo. It's going to be a CRAZY night, but the awesome part is that it's charity for a good cause, so you wont have to feel guilty the next day about anything less-than-righteous you may have done ;-)

This Friday June 3rd, 4pm in Boyle Heights (East LA), I'll have the honor of getting busy with some of my favorites; Medusa (OG Heavyweights, Feline Science OG, Good Life, Project Blowed), Swim Team (L Scatterbrain, VerBs, Open Mike Eagle, Alpha MC), Live And Breathe, NuAi, and of course my crew, The Original LA Breakers!

Saturday June 4th, I will be roccin' a secret show in North Hollywood for Kruse's birthday... It'll be 21+, and QUITE scandalous, so stay tuned to my Twitter and Facebook pages for information as it becomes readily available. The adults won't want to miss this, it'll be a randy good time!

Finally, I'll be hitting on Wednesday, June 8th at Zanzibar in Santa Monica. I love this venue, and the last time I performed there was so immense that I know it's only going to get better. This'll be a real good show AND party for the 21+'ers, so bring your dancing shoes and some change for drinks.
